Mexican wrestling is an icon of our culture and the second most popular sport after soccer. It is represented by the heroes of all Mexican children and adults, making many references to this culture with its colours and acrobatic movements. Increasingly, the sport has become popular among foreigners visiting Mexico, so it was proposed to the Mexico City government to build the Museum of Wrestling and Mexican Folk Traditions to encourage tourism to the city.
